Cosmetically it is truly 9.5 out of 10. *The only slight flaw being that the hinged rear fender section is taken from a different R60, nd doesn't align as perfectly as the original likely did. It is difficult to notice unless you are looking for it, ut I must note it for full disclosure.*

For Sale:1962 BMW R60/2Recently completed frame up restoration, ith only 90 break-in miles on the clock.The goal for this motorbike was to create a reliable, ideable bike using the most trusted names in /2 restoration. This bike will make an excellent daily driver or weekend cruiser, nd with proper maintenance, hould perform for decades to come.
Bike starts on first or second kick, ithout the need to even tickle the carbs. Idle is smooth and low. Timing seems to be perfectly set. The ride is stable and smooth. I can't think of any mechanical flaws to disclaim. Some information about the 4 year build:
- Bench Mark Works performed the engine rebuild, rom the crank up. all taper surfaces and bearing seats were refreshed to spec. New bearings installed throughout, s well as new slingers. Engine is ready for 50,000 miles of open road!
- Heads were rebuilt by CycleWorks, ith new unleaded valves and guides.
- Transmission is working well, nd did not need restoration.
- steering head bearings upgraded to modern SKF tapered rollers
- all swingarm and wheel bearings are new.
- Powder coated frame, stage black paint on sheet metal. 2 stage semi gloss on handlebar perches.
- Pinstripes professionally hand applied by Herb Martinez
- 12v electrical system installed for proper lighting and HORN
- Tires are beautiful imported vintage tread Metzelers, navailable to the US market.
- includes matching key set for tool box and fork lock.
