Stiletto Specifics
You are looking at an extremely rare, ow-mile, 001 BMW R1200c Stiletto. Originally developed as a “Dark” concept in collaboration with Gobbi Design, MW actually put the Stiletto into production with estimated limited run at 200 machines in all.
If you are familiar with the R1200c, hen you know that the original 1998 release was featured in the James Bond film “Tomorrow Never Dies.” The Stiletto stands out from other trim packages with the following design queues: understated aesthetics presented in gloss black (no stripes) with Grafitan (dark grey trim), lear signal lenses, he clear Euro windshield and Avantgarde brights.
At 15 years of age, he R1200c still competes with modern machines given standard features that include ABS brakes, eated grips, he ultra-smooth, ear shaft-drive and cantilever front suspension. If you are familiar with BMW’s then you know their renown for reliability and longevity and as a low-mileage machine, his bike is an outstanding ride.
The Bike Before You
This is not my first BMW, ut the R1200c is the reason I chose the to go with the roundel. In 2007, sold my R1100s in order to purchase this Stiletto as this model is truly my dream bike. The Phoenix perhaps comes in second, ut even then, ot even close. It is the bike I swore never to sell.
Why sell you ask? I have stopped riding. Plain and simple. As impressive as the bike is to gaze at, his bike deserves to be ridden. It really is an stand-out machine, ut riding is a must for someone other than me.
The miles I have put on this bike were purely for pleasure. Though it would be an excellent commuter, stuck to the weekend bi-ways, ence the low-mileage. The majority of my riding consisted of day-trips. I did take 2 long-distance rides, ncluding an epic rendezvous tour of Idaho. It was an awesome experience and when under full load, he bike’s performance was marvelous.
My BMW’s have been consistently serviced by the same, eputable Master Mechanic. Most recently, he bike received Spring service with complete fluid flush in March. It has passed Utah inspection, s registered, icensed and ready to ride!
