This is a really nice clean example fitted with BMW side panniers and a Givi top box. heated grips and fully functioning ABS. I also have a really nice set of Hepco & Becker crash bars that I bought secondhand and sandblasted and painted. they just require a fitting kit to install. These will go with the bike. I bought this in the early part of the summer after selling a couple of my little 400's. I thought the wife and I were ready for the whole GS thing after touring for several years on sports bikes and more recently. our ZZR1400. I rather like it. although admittedly. it did take some getting used to! She on the other hand. dislikes it with a passion and thinks its boring and refuses to pillion on it at all. even to the point of preferring the discomfort of my Benelli to the supposed boredom of the GS! Anyway. it has only been used a total of 3 times and is unlikely to see much more use so its up for sale at far less than I paid for It a few months ago. A lesson learnt I think. consult the oracle first!I searched for a while for a nice clean example with a good service history and low milage and. this fitted those criteria perfectly. The only thing I have done to it is put a new battery on it at a cost of £85 and tax it. Service history is as follows:Wollaston BMW 11/9/03 @ 600 milesWollaston BMW 16/11/04 @ 5932 milesWollaston BMW 8/7/08 @ 14260 milesSouthport Superbikes 14/6/11 @ 19307 milesSouthport Superbikes 23/4/13 @ 24791 milesBrake and clutch fluid change carried out at Wollaston BMW on 17/6/06 & again on 11/3/10I have the original owners manual and stamped service book. spare keys and am the registered keeper in possession of the V5. I think the pictures speak for themselves and if it's one of these you are after then this is about as good as it gets for a 2003 model. As previously mentioned. the ABS works perfectly and I actively looked for one that hadn't been messed around with or disconnected despite the reputation of unreliability. If your buying one of these. why would you not want ABS? Worry about it if and when it goes wrong and ride safe in the knowledge it may just save your arse one day!
