BMW R1150 GS 2001 (NOT an Adventure)

 For Sale - BMW R1150 GS 89. 00 milesThis Bike has been well looked after and used in all conditions. Includes a fairly comprehensive history and docs & receipts to prove. From new with Supplying BMW dealers. then a BMW independant. I am the 2nd owner and got the bike at 72. 00 miles and I have serviced it myself since then as it's fairly easy to do yourself with lots of hints and tips available on the web. It still runs very well and I went to the Dordogne 5 weeks ago and it ran perfectly for 2000 miles in a week. It has the odd mark here and there but in good all round condition considering mileage. The sale includes the panniers and inner bags and the touratech headlight protector. the sale does NOT include the Baglux harness or tank bag or the Touratech tail pack seen in some of the photo's as these were taken when touring in Europe. Despite a fender extender the front of the engine has the normal GS corrosion issue and every year I clean it off and paint with silver smoothrite and it looks good does a pretty good job. Rear tyre has lots of tread left. the front one will probably need replacing in the next 2-3 thousand miles. The only bad thing really is the rear disc is quite scored. it still works fine and if needed I will replace it for the MOT. In Summary. an honest bike looking for a new home. I have enjoyed owning it. it's taken me to many countries in Europe. however after several years of ownership I now feel like a change and the GS has to go to make way for a new bike.
