BMW ROAD RACE SIDECAR OUTFIT

BMW ROAD RACE OUTFITChassis built by MRE in the UK.  It has only done the parade lap at the Isle of Man TT. and was then sold to myself as a part exchange for another race bike I was selling. This chassis is a very well made. beautifully designed unit that is looking for someone to race with. Classic racing has become very popular in the UK. and Europe with the UK based Classic Racing Motorcycle Club (CRMC) filling the grids every meeting.  There are also some very good race meetings in the EU. Belgium in particular. This MRE chassis is virtually new. the previous owners handlebars will need replacing as he always preferred them this way. and high up.  The engine supplied with the bike is a Roger Bennett prepared motor.  Fitted with Moorespeed slipper pistons. sports cam. and springs.  Having just been rebuilt it requires no further prep.  It is a dry sump engine. and the gearbox is close ratio. The bike is fitted with 16" wheels.  The front has a Rickman hub. and brake there is also a twin disc hub with the bike should you prefer.  Carbs are Delorto race items jetted for the engine. Ignition system is by Pazon. and is electronic.  Exhaust is 2 into 1 by NRP. Sixteen inch outfits are very satisfying to ride. and are generally faster round corners than outfits with fat tyres.  They are without a doubt better in the wet.  Fact a 16" outfit won this years Classic European Sidecar Championship overall (Camathias Cup).
