There is not much I can say about this bike. except that it is absolutely beautiful. It took my breath away when I saw it for the first time today. My friend asked me to help him sell it. having realised that ill health means he will never ride it again. It has been stored for 18 years. all we did today was wash it. It ran beautifully when put away. having completed about 3000 miles after a complete engine rebuild. Realistically. a buyer will need to recommission it but not expect any problems.
The bike was registered in Dec 1938. when it apparently cost more than a house at £450! They are very rare in this form with the tubular frame. as a military version with a pressed steel frame took over all production soon into the model run.
There is really not much more to say. Anybody who knows what they are looking at will know that it is worth way over our starting figure.
