BMW R80G/S Monolever 1987

BMW R80G/S    1987 Monolever9 months MoTCurrently on SORNThis is a non-standard R80G/S with a Yamaha XTZ750 Tenere front end fitted. and a non-standard exhaust end can. The front end benefits from twin discs and longer travel. It wasn't uncommon for G/Ss to have motocross forks fitted back in the day. like for example. the Dakar bikes from the 80's. The rear shock is a Hagon. It has a pair of Cibie headlamps which are good and bright at night. An LED rear light. Heated grips. I've owned it a couple of years and used it mainly for commuting to work. for which it has been very reliable and a nice ride. I've bought a new bike now and have several others and can't justify the space it occupies. In an ideal world it would be nice to restore. but I have too much on.  Condition wise. I think the pictures tell the story. It would be considered tatty by some. cool by others. I just like it the way it is. its a good usable bike which would make a sound basis for restoration. clean it up a bit. or use it as is. It's a well used bike. so please don't expect a restored or mint condition machine. It's also not standard. just making that clear. front end from a Yamaha Tenere as mentioned above. the tank is from an R65 I believe. the seat I'm not sure. maybe from an ST. This is a G/S as opposed to a GS. The frame number confirms this. It's Monolever model. which is different to a later Paralever model and. some would say more desirable.
