Lots of time. care. and expense went into this conversion. The builder has been building cafe bikes for three years now and his sophmore build was featured in Iron & Air Magazine. Some new. mixed with old parts for a classic period look. Why buy a me-too bike? Stand out from the mundane with a classic example of German Engineering! This bike never fails to garner attention. Read on for more information. As part of the build. the Heads and cylinders were removed to replace the pushrod seals. Then it was all buttoned up with new head gaskets. stud o-rings. and valve cover gaskets. All fluids from the brakes. forks. engine. transmission. drive shaft. and final drive were replaced seals. filters. gaskets. and plugs. Removed the auxiliary oil cooler (for RS and RTs). and replaced with genuine BMW parts for conversion. Removed and replaced old pushrod tube seals. new head gaskets and o-rings. Brand new clutch installed; spline lubed. replaced neutral switch. New rear brake hoses. and brake pipe. Valves. timing and carburetor restored and adjusted. This bike looks and rides awesome. but is not a brand new bike. It does have some patina to it. But the pictures are pretty spot on good. Just don't expect it not to have any minor blems. Look close to paint chip on front fender. hardly noticeable when mounted. I just rode this bike 435 miles two weeks ago. It rides GREAT! I continue to put mileage on the bike almost daily.
