1967 Marusho Magmum Electra 500 Rare Original Like BMW Shaft Drive

I purchased this rare Marusho bike with intentions of making it my winter project. but I recently picked up another Harley that I will work on instead. Motor turns over and has good compression. Previous owner began disassembling for restoration. Looks like everything is there to put it together. One of the front fender braces is broken. Tank is pretty clean inside with only very light corrosion. I have a clear Illinois title in my name. Will sell internationally. but buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. I was contacted by a Marusho Lilac expert who has informed me that this bike is a 1966. It has always been titled as a 1967. He provided the following information. I did confirm the motor number is exactly as he noted. here is information he provided: **** Bike is a 1966 Marusho Magnum (not Electra). 1 of about 180. It may have been titled later than 1966 but that is the correct model year **** The original dealer was Len's Motorcycle Sales in Canton. **** The motor number is 2-0668 and is the original motor. **** Additional comments from him: Your bike is an exceptional candidate for restoration. as it truly is as complete as Marushos come.
