For auction here is an unrestored and very original 1965 BSA D7 Bantam. This bike comes with an old style blue V5. which is still valid and its original bill of sale. The reg number may therefore be transferable. The Bike will be tax exempt at this age but not MOT exempt. The log book shows only one previous owner and the current one.
The bike is very scruffy and unrestored. but starts and runs good. Most of the electrics work. with the exception of the main beam. which may simply be a loose wire. The horn. brake light. tail light. pilot light all work. The bike has original wheels on it. original chrome on the tank. and maybe even original paint. I rode it around the yard for about 5 minutes today and the more I rode it. the better it seemed to get. It was very smoky at first. but cleared up and I put this down to having too much 2 stroke oil settled in the bottom of the tank. After riding around. it was ticking over perfectly. The clutch. brakes and gears all seem to be alright.
So. this is a very original. very scruffy BSA D7 Bantam. that you could more or less use as is. or would be perfect to restore as its registered. its all there and its more or less all working.
Viewing is welcome. 01246 411977 for an appointment. Collection is preferred. although I can arrange delivery within the mainland UK by courier for ?100. Finally. if you bid you buy. this is a project and viewing is during the auction. not after.
