• 1956 Triumph TR5 Trophy This listing is for an outstanding, ully restored, R5 Trophy that was kept in my personal collection in a climate controlled environment. This motorcycle was restored by Tim Bardsley of Ontario, anada. Those of you who have experience with Tim’s restorations know the high quality and accuracy of his work! The 1956 TR5 came from an era when Triumph was at it’s best! And, he TR5 Trophy model was recognized, orldwide, or versatility and strong handling/performance. The bike could be used in competition, rail riding or on the street. The TR5’s were outstanding in competition and they were (and still are!) beautiful. The iconic “fine pitched alloy” engine, iamesed exhaust and the polished front brake plate all added to the look and performance of this motorcycle.....regarded by many as the finest motorcycle of it’s time! These motorcycles were ridden often in competition, ut, n all situations were ridden hard. Starting a restoration of one of these is a daunting and expensive proposition. First, inding a good example, hat wasn’t beaten to death....that’s difficult! This one was in great condition and it was restored by Tim Bardsley....a restorer who truly understands the Trophy. So, t’s as it should be mechanically and cosmetically. The paint finish is very well done in correct Polychromatic blue....perfect for this motorcycle and this era. The restoration was taken to great lengths including such additions as Dunlop Trials Universal, ade in England, ires....3.25 x 19 front and 4.00 x 18 rear. Those tires are in Very Good condition.....NOS? Quite possibly!! Parts are extremely expensive and hard to find for these Trophy’s. To summarize....one of the best motorcycles of the time and certainly one of the best for Triumph! A comprehensive and complete restoration by one of the best! We are offering this TR5 (clear title) at a fair price of $13,999 or Best Offer. That’s in line with NADA and other price guides for an excellent level 1956 TR5. This motorcycle certainly fits that category and belongs in a fine collection.
