1970 BSA 650 A65L LIGHTNING MILD BOB EASILY RETURNED TO STOCK

This had been my personal motorcycle for many years and always has been a reliable and strong running example of a British vertical twin. Last year I sold it to a gentleman who had owned an A10 in the early 1960 and in the passed 9 months he has discovered that this is not the same motorcycle as the one that he remembers and has asked me to find a new home for it. At the time of aquisition there were some changes done at his request. the bobbed. perfect chrome rear fender with no extra holes and the Bates style 564 tail light as well as the custom. professionally modified. solo style saddle and the shorty style mufflers with full 1 3/4 inch baffles. This has always been a strong running engine with a strong electrical system. it does have the ultra desirable CAST IRON oil pump and compared to many is very smooth. Engine does not smoke. the carburation is correct for the shorty muffles with new needles and needle jets in the 930 Amals. a little boggy at low rpms until the engine gets up to temperature. Good tires. good brakes. both instruments are in working order. The exhaust pipes show their age but they have been worked on and fit very tightly in the head with no exhaust leaks. The only leak that I see is in the area of where the oil junction block attaches to the bottom of the case. Gas tank has a good sized knee dent in it but included is a second tank. slight dent in the painted area. and a set of badges.
