Description

One of the very nicest Bultaco Metrallas around.Milage is a guess, has new speedometer. It has been repainted in stock colors. It is a bike that you look at and can't decide if it's been restored or kept in very nice, unrestored condition.I have owned and raced Bultacos over 45 years. This bike runs and functions even better than it looks.Much is original, exhaust system, bars, levers, wheels, shocks, trim, etc.Proper Metralla bolts all around,Seat recovered, rear brake lever and external brake parts chromed, original were painted or zinc plated but the late model 23's may have had chrome.According to John Sommerville's book, the late ones had Amal alloy levers, plastic throttle,MX grips and 32mm Amal Concentric Carburetor. The original piston and rings are present and show little if any wear past break in.Clutch, primary chain transmission perfect, only engine work I did was install the dual seal holders and seals on both crankshaft ends for reliability.ll lights and horn work, all be it feebly no battery!Work as well as they did new though!Stock touring fairing included but mounts are non standard. A VDO speedometer used with the fairing, stock Bultaco Metralla 120 mph with few miles works perfectly(used without fairing).Spokes have been painted black but have stainless spokes and nipples for front and rear included, just never got around to it.Rear shock and swing arm nuts and swing arm pivot are stainless but look stock.Have a new fork lock(Neimann) not installed. Tool box locks are slightly larger and stronger but stock ones included.Tool boxes have a nice tunnel between them to increase size but not visible externally.Original manual, literature included.Matching engine and frame numbers.Only flaws, one small scratch on left side of tank, touched up and rubbed out, have to hunt for it. Also2 tiny cylinder head fins behind spark plug missing,non-vivible unless you hunt and know they were once there.Video of Cycle World Rolling Concourse several years ago with the bike in it(completed with flying colors!) available,I can eMail it. This is a vintage bike that can be ridden and shown proudly! Reserve between starting bid and buy it now. If it hits buy it now, many extra Bultaco parts, pieces and literature go with it. I am a 60's-70's enduro rider, ossible even trade for an extremely nice ISDT Six Day Matador,OSSA SDR,Greeves enduro,Jawa-CZ ISDT Replica,Penton 125 Six Days or Jackpiner, etc.Clear Ohio title in my name,Please ask any questions, thanks for looking!Possible free delivery to Birmingham AL or Detroit MI,relatives to visit. $500 deposit with Paypal, balance cash, cashier's check, delivery after clearing.Under 8 feedbacks, contact me first, please don't bid unless you will complete transaction. Please check out the last two bikes I have sold on eBay on my feedback. A 990 KTM Adv and a Ducati Mach 1 250.
