Cagiva Elefant EL750.   1997.   Once described as being like a Honda Africa Twin. but faster! 

I bought this bike to service a mid life crisis back in January 2005. In the past 9 years I have enjoyed three great rides: across the Pyrenees (full story on my web site - http://www. tobysavage. co. uk/showarticle. asp?id=27). down to Italy with a mate and to the South of France for the Cognac Blues Festival.   It has rarely been on a Motorway. or Autoroute.   I prefer smaller roads and has never been used for work. or short rides. The bike has always been kept in a dry garage.   The total mileage from new is just 29. 58 Km?ˆ™s - that?ˆ™s 18304 miles. During my ownership it has been regularly serviced by an independent specialist using Castrol Edge RS10W60 Fully Synthetic performance oil and has been fitted with stiffer Hagon front springs. The forks were re-chromed and new seals fitted in 2009.   I have receipts for the servicing and all the past MOT?ˆ™s.   I fitted an Eagle Screen - slightly higher. but have the original one.   The GIVI topbox is no longer ?ˆ?Monokey?ˆ™.   It is bolted to the frame. Original rack and bodywork supplied. This year I fitted a new Odyssey battery at a cost of about £100.  

There are a few small marks on the paintwork as one would expect on a bike of this age.   It is MOT?ˆ™d until July 2015 and taxed until the end of December 2014.  

It will need a new pair of tyres very soon. Both are almost at the legal limit. I would have some fitted. but the successful buyer may wish to make their own choice. The Metzeler Tourance currently fitted have been very good.   I am in Leicester and you would have to collect from here.   There is no reserve set.  No Buy it now. Happy bidding!
