FOR SALE. EUROPEAN IMPORT I CAN SUPPLY A NOVA NUMBER RE U. K. REGISTRATION. OR YOU CAN SORT YOUR OWN?. UP TO YOU. SUZUKI GT 250 K' MODEL YEAR . DECEMBER 1972 FACTORY BUILD BIKE EARLY PRODUCTION K' 1973 MODEL EXAMPLE AN EXCELLENT RESTORE TO CONCOURSE EXAMPLE FOR THE ENTHUSIAST. ONE OF 2 VERY EARLY BIKES BOUGHT FROM THE SAME PRIVATE OWNER BOTH WERE EARLY PRODUCTION EXAMPLES WITH LITTLE TO CHOOSE CONDITION WISE AND MILEAGE BETWEEN EITHER. THE OTHER MACHINE HAS NOW BEEN SOLD.   THIS ONE. REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING "MISSING" PART'S HEADLAMP RIM. AND HEADLIGHT UNIT. COMPLETE WIRING ON THE BIKE IS "INTACT" WITH "NO" DAMAGE. LEFT HAND COMPLETE SIDE PANEL REQUIRED. LEFT HAND CARBURETTOR REQUIRED. AIRBOX REQUIRED. AS PICTURED THERE IS A PIECE BROKEN ON THE TOP CRANKCASE IMMEADIATELY ABOVE THE FRONT SPROCKET CAUSED BY FAILURE TO ADJUST THE CHAIN !! THIS IS NOT A HARD TASK ALLOY WELDING IS PERFECTLY POSSIBLE IN THIS AREA IT HAS NOT AFFECTED THE ENGINE NUMBER STAMPING WHATSOEVER IT REQUIRES A "PIECE" OF ALLOY WELDING IN. THERE ARE LOTS OF ALLOY WELDING COMPANIES THAT CAN DO THIS TYPE OF WORK WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. IT IS "NOT" A MAJOR ISSUE. THIS HAPPENED A LOT TO THESE MACHINE'S BACK IN THE DAY. FROM OWNERS WHO COULDENT BE BOTHERED OR DIDENT KNOW HOW!! TO ADJUST A DRIVE CHAIN. I HAVE HAD SIMILAR DAMAGED CRANKCASES REPAIRED TO A HIGH STANDARD MYSELF.

FACTORY EXIT/IMPORT DATE DECEMBER  1972. FRAME NUMBER GT250-1854*. ENGINE NUMBER GT250-1850* MILEAGE 7. 65 MILES BELIEVED GENUINE. THIS IS AN EARLY FACTORY BUILT EXAMPLE 1973 MODEL YEAR GT' 250 K' MACHINE. IN ORIGINAL UNRESTORED CONDITION. NOT CURRENTLY IN "RUNNING ORDER" WHICH WILL WELL SUIT AN ENTHUSIAST WHO WISHES TO RESTORE THIS MODEL  250 MACHINE TO CONCORSE CONDITION. BOTH SILENCERS ARE "TOTALLY" UNDAMAGED THEY REQUIRE RE-PLATING BUT NO NASTY DENTS IN EITHER. nbsp; THAT WILL REQUIRE ATTENTION. BOTH FRONT AND REAR MUDGUARDS ARE WITHOUT DENT'S OR MARKS. THERE IS A SLIGHT MARK ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE FRONT LIP ON THE FRONT MUDGUARD IT IS EASILY SORTED. nbsp; THE ENGINE TURNS OVER ON THE KICK START AND HAS "STRONG" COMPRESSION. SEAT BASE IS NOT PERFECT WITH A CRACK ACROSS IT FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER UNFORTUNATELY SEAT METAL FINISHING STRIP IS IN EXCELLENT ORDER. VERY LITTLE RUST THROUGHOUT THE BIKE . SURFACE ONLY THROUGHOUT THIS MACHINE ABSOLUTELY NO MAJOR ROT. nbsp; FUEL TANK AGAIN IS "DENT" FREE THERE IS A SURFACE COATING OF LIGHT RUST ON THE TANK INSIDES. THIS SHOULD REMOVE NO PROBLEM FUEL TAP. FUEL CAP  AND BADGES ARE RESTORABLE AGAIN A MATCHING EARLY 5 DIGIT KEY SET ON THE BIKE THAT'S IGNITION. FUEL CAP. AND STEERING LOCK. ORIGINAL FACTORY SUPPLIED CLOCK SET ALSO WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE CLOCK PRINTED FACES. THE PLASTIC LEN'S REQUIRE CLEANING ON ONE REPLACING ON THE OTHER {SPEEDO}  BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT HANDLEBAR SWITCHGEAR ARE CORRECT ORIGINAL FOR K' MODEL GT 250. A GOOD EXAMPLE TO RESTORE NO SEARCHING ROUND FOR MAJOR COMPONENT PARTS THAT COST FORTUNES IN GOOD USED CONDITION ON THESE. IE MUDGUARDS AND SILENCERS THESE FACTORY ORIGINALS ON THE BIKE ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION REGARDING NO DENTS ETC. .
