Cagiva Canyon 500cc. T Reg.

This bike is showing 23. 00 odd miles or thereabouts and I have no idea whether it?ˆ™s genuine or not.   I only bought it a few weeks ago as a little bit of a project although to be honest. I haven?ˆ™t done much on it apart from the suspension which I will refer to shortly.  

As far as I am aware. it rides fine but please do come and make your own mind up as I am selling it as it is.   I am making no representations as to its condition other than what you can see on inspection.   For that reason. I would always recommend you coming to look.

On a positive note. I would have no hesitation in jumping on it and going across the country but that?ˆ™s me.

I bought it recently to use on the Dragon Rally or as a winter hack and I have decided that I just have too many bikes. (I have 5 other 2 strokes)

It has a full 12 months MOT and as you can see from the photographs. the front tyre is excellent and the rear one is good.   It was taxed until the end of September.

The bike is probably in better condition than it looks on the photographs.  It is not immaculate by any stretch of the imagination but it?ˆ™s not a heap of junk either. I am just trying to be honest so that the buyer is not disappointed.

The ignition switch is the wrong one for the bike but it works perfectly well apart from the fact that you have to use the kill switch to stop the engine.   It isn?ˆ™t a problem.

The other bit of bad news is that the seat lock is broken and therefore the seat. although it latches down in place doesn?ˆ™t actually lock.

A bit of good news is that the seat cover is excellent

For the MOT. all the rear suspension linkages had the pins and bearings and oil seals renewed and grease nipples fitted.   They should now last the life of the bike.

There is an advisory on the MoT and that is that there is a slight misting of the left-hand front fork oil seal.   You might want to do it yourself at some stage.
