1980 Can-Am 250 Qualifier III - unrestored survivor - original & complete

They are only original once.   

For sale is my un-restored. all original. 99% complete. great running.  1980 Can Am 250 Qualifier III.

This bike is in great shape. starts up easily (2-3 kicks). will idle immediately by itself. and runs great. Its a 6 speed with clutch. 2 stroke. 250cc. kick start only. Completely original!! Has correct & matching fenders. tank. head--light. side panels. and seat cover. Still has the factory quality control sticker on the left fork tube. and under the seat is the factory sticker for the K&N air cleaner instructions. along with a spark arrestor sticker on the left side panel. Also still on the bike are both MAGURA leather brake and clutch lever covers. The original fork equalizer hose is still there.  Both front and rear tires are in good shape (not original). good tread. no leaks or dry rot. The original BING carburetor is in good shape. nbsp;as I have always turned the fuel off after riding. and used premium fuel and oil. The exhaust head pipe is in great shape. and NO dents. Spart arrestor is also complete and in great shape. The original headlight works. and so does the rear taillight.   I used no detailing products on the bike for the photos. just soap and water. Its an honest bike. and the new owner will not be disappointed. Comes with the original operator's manual as well.

As you can tell by the pics. the bike is in great shape for 35 years old. and has had an easy life.   Only a few things to be aware of: the headlight decal is missing. and so are the fork boots. Ive heard alot of people removed the fork boots as they were prone to cause rust on the fork tubes. I replaced the gas tank decals recently. and noticed that one of the rubber isolater/mount for the spark arrestor is missing and replaced with spacers. Including in the sale. are 2 new fork seals. as they just recently started to leak a little when tied down on the trailer. Not enough for me to want to replace yet. but you might so they are included.  

Some of the close up pics are in my garage. as it starting raining while photoing.   I have more pics. ebay only allows 24.   I'm more than happy to answer any questions. or take / send  additional pics. I really hope this bike goes to a good home. would be a shame to ruin or modify this one. If you follow them online like I do you will see that this is one of the best ones being offered lately.
