Norton 1938 ohv model 50 girder fork rigid 350cc classic vintage motorcycle

For sale is a 1938 Norton model 50 350cc overhead valve single. The machine has a rigid frame and girder forks. The bike is almost unique in the sense that it is cosmetically un-restored and probably just about as correct and original that you could find. The machine is in factory original specification and has a superb patina. all numbers match and are clearly visible. the bike also retains its original issue registration number issued when first sold sold by "Phillpots Garage" Canterbury Road. Ramsgate on 24/4/1939.  The bike still retains its supplied by enamel/brass plate on the tool box. The real beauty of this machine is that although completely original in terms of it cosmetic appearance and specification its mechanical condition is very good. it starts. runs and rides beautifully and has had all known mechanical faults rectified. in recently it has had the magneto/ dynamo  reconditioned. a new regulator. new Dunlop K70 tyres. ew clutch and advance/ retard cable fitted. new plug lead and cap as well as items like a re-silvered headlamp reflector and new / relined clutch plates and drum.    The bike has also had a major service including new oils. hubs stripped and greased etc. The bike is a pleasure to ride and should provide reliable service and peace of mind to any potential buyer.
