1959 CUSHMAN EAGLE

You are bidding on a 1959 Cushman Eagle with a clear Illinois title. This Cushman was completely disassembled and restored a few years ago. Everything in red is powder coated not painted. Also. the frame and most other black parts are also powder coated. All powder coating was done by Pro-Tek Powder Coating. Check them out at www. protekpowdercoating. com. The engine is a 8 hp Husky that was rebuilt by Dennis Carpenter and uses the original (rebuilt) Tillotson carburetor. It has dual chrome exhaust along with many other chrome items as shown in the pictures. There was nothing left untouched when this Cushman was restored. Many new items were installed such as a wiring harness. head light. tail light. wheel bearings. clutch. tires and more. The horn is original and only works when it wants too. New horns are available from Dennis Carpenter or other Cushman vendors. It has an original speedometer bought off ebay so the miles shown on the odometer are not correct for this scooter.  I have the clutch set up for double clutching. Put the transmission in first gear (shifter pulled back). excellerate. push in the clutch and shift into neutral. let the clutch out and then back in shifting into second gear. I like the way it shifts but you can adjust it to shift with only pushing in the clutch once. If you have any questions or would like more pictures. please contact me.
