Description

Up for sale is my 1966 ducati 350 bevel drive single. it is either a sebring or monza model. but no real way to tell. ducati wasn't too good at documenting things back in the day. This bike has around 8800 miles on it (may go up a little since my wife drives it regularly) and is a great little runner. it has been driven often over the past year since we have owned it. prior to that it has sat in storage since the early 70's. It is pretty much an all original example with the exception of new tires (i still have the originals and they are even soft). battery. surflex clutch (frictions and metals). hain. front sprocket. padding in original seat cover. and fuel petcocks. The bike fires up pretty easily (once you figure out the best way to kick this thumper over) and runs and idles well once warmed up (even with the original carb). The inside of the tank is spotless rust free. the outside is original paint and has a pretty decent looking patina. it does have a dent on the right side of the tank (look at the pics). The rest of the body work is in good condition. paint is almost 50 years old so it has its share of spots and wear. not dented up or rusted out though (look at the pics). my wife liked the original paint too much to paint it so we left it as is. but with the paint restored and the dent in the tank fixed i would imagine it would be quite the show stopper. The wheels look great for their age (they are original rims. spokes and hubs). all the lights work fine and are pretty bright for being 6v. frame looks good and isn't rusted out and has the original ducati frame pump attached to it (doesn't work though). Chrome on the bike looks decent for being almost 50 years old. there are some spots here an there for sure. over all it is just a nice looking original condition example.  The engine starts. runs. has great compression. shifts. and sounds good. The oil has been regularly changed with the valvoline vr1 (which i have used in pretty much all my old italian bikes). it doesn't have any real leaks. with Valvoline i noticed a little more smoke in the old bike but not enough to make me want to switch to something different (oil choice is up to you). the valves were checked and adjusted. points adjusted. plug changed. cap changed. swing arm pivot serviced recently. This is a great little bike and i am sure i will regret selling it. it is time for my wife to have something a little bigger now though. This would be a great candidate for a cosmetic restoration or just a good weekend bike as it is. it is sold with a BILL OF SALE only. no title here in GA. it is currently tagged and registered in GA. please contact me with any and all questions. thanks! happy bidding
