2007 Ducati GT 1000 ***578 miles**

When the Ducati GT 1000 came out in 2007. it was the last model of Ducati?ˆ™s SportClassic Range that started with the Paul Smart model. one of which we sold four years ago. It used the same 2 valve 1000DS engine the rest of series were based on. Normally a bullet proof motor. it reflected the design theme by keeping things simple using an air-cooled low stressed engine whose power limits were set by the budget of the owner.

As with most Ducatis. owners showered their bikes with engine up grades. Carbon Fiber panels. Exhaust Systems and Ohlin Suspension in a quest to amplify the performance on a basically light and proper handling platform. The effect was always rewarding and the bike has become one of the most favored Street Ducatis built. A short ride around town reminded me of an earlier BMW R90/6 I rode and a Triumph Thruxton currently in the garage. Comfy seat. standard riding position and easy riding that is totally un-Ducati like.

For several years the bikes were ignored. but in recent years. collectors and Ducati Enthusiasts have reconnected with the SportClassic range of bikes with values exceeding the new selling prices when bikes rolled off the show room floors year ago. They have become highly sought after. Who knows where they will go in value. It is always a surprise.

The condition of our presentation is exceptional. Not only is the bike completely stock as delivered in every manner (other then fluids). it has 578 miles from the day it was sold new at Hansen?ˆ™s BMW in Medford. Oregon. In fact. they have all of the service records for the bike. including a complete fluid change done recently at 575 miles. I have found very few blemishes on the bike. all from the normal effect of being driven for 575 miles on the street. The bike is not new. but it so close. it could pass for it upon inspection.
