This 2002 Ducati 748E is a UK Biposto model. converted to single-seat. with V5. a brand new MoT and HPI-clear. I will provide an HPI check report dated 25/10/2014. so you don?ˆ™t need to buy your own. The motor is the standard 748 which is much more reliable than the higher-performance variants. which tend to be a bit more fragile.
I am a trained motorcycle mechanic. I fitted new cam belts and tensioner locknuts in early 2014. I checked and adjusted all valve clearances in late 2013. All rockers are in good condition with no sign of damage to the hard chrome plating. The bike has had regular changes of oil (Shell Advance Ultra 10/40 fully synthetic) and K&N oil filter. I fitted new genuine Ducati Air Filter elements in 2014. along with new spark plugs. The bike has never been raced or crashed. It has done just short of 10. 00 miles. of which about 200 have been on UK tracks. I have cleaned the oil strainer a couple of times and there has never been any swarf in there.
This machine has been cherished with no expense spared. and its MASSIVE SPEC now includes:
Under-seat carbon Termignonis with matched ECU chip (and db killers if you want them)
Brembo radial brake and clutch master cylinders
Front brake calipers upgraded to Brembo 4-pot 4-pad. like a 749
Rear shock upgraded to Ohlins. serviced. re-gassed and re-sprung by K-Tech for a 12-stone rider.
New bearings. dog-bone and pushrod while fitting the Ohlins shock
Front forks stripped and rebuilt by Dave Brook at Brook suspension
Ducati Performance slipper clutch (ramp and ball design ?ˆ“ very smooth action)
SP Quick Shifter
Venhill braided brake and clutch lines
SBS sintered pads
Factory Racing clutch slave cylinder (reduces lever effort)
Power Commander III USB. with the latest firmware and a custom map for the Termignonis
UK-made autoclaved carbon fibre airbox with integrated side panels
Fabbri double-bubble tinted screen
Techspec C3 tank grips
Variobars adjustable clip-ons
Oberon alloy footpegs (much grippier than standard pegs)
Renthal sprockets and chain
Carbon rear hugger
Upgraded starter cables for easier starting
There is a load of original documentation included with the bike. THREE keys. a very well-used and annotated Haynes workshop manual and a K-Tech suspension setup guide. I?ˆ™ve even got the original Ducati toolkit.
Spare parts include:
Original Ducati clutch basket. pressure plate. springs and friction plates
Original chip for road silencers. The original road silencers are not present ?ˆ“ the Termis are fine on the road with DB Killers fitted. That?ˆ™s how I bought the bike.
Reason for sale: I?ˆ™m moving house and this bike has to go. This bike is priced to sell so I will not accept offers. trades or swaps.
Bad bits:
The bodywork is not original. but looks great and is in very good condition.
There is a small crack to the speedo glass but I haven?ˆ™t replaced it because I want to sell the bike with the original speedo in place. showing its genuine actual mileage.
Sorry. but absolutely no test rides unless you can:
prove your ID (photo)
show me your driving license with full motorcycle entitlement
show me your insurance to ride and
hand me the full purchase price in cash in advance.
