DUCATI 748E 2003

Description

Lovely condition 748E biposto. must be one of the last to be made. on a 2003 plate. Totally standard and unmolested with the exception of a carbon fibre rear hugger / chain guard. Always run on super unleaded. always warmed up for a minute before riding off. always kept in a garage (in fact I kept it in my front room for a while!) and the only time it sees water is when I wash it. I also have an Oxford bike cover for it. which is included in the sale. I've had the bike for two and a half years. the previous owner had it for 5 years before that. and during this time it's been looked after at the same place - MotoVation in Cheltenham. All old mots and service history documents to prove its been well looked after over the years. It had a major service (inc belts) and two new Bridgestone tyres last year. so all it needs is a minor service this year. The MOT has expired. but it is taxed until the end of September and will be SORN from the 1st of October onwards. The tax renewal reminder said 12 months road tax would be £80. The reason for selling is I had a slow speed very minor accident last year. and to be honest its just put me off riding motorbikes. I've only ridden it a handful of times this year. The bike was dropped on its left hand side after someone pulled out on me at a crossroads. The only damage was to the left side mirror and indicator. the gear selector and some cosmetic damage to the lower fairing. All parts have been replaced with new. and the fairings have been repaired and resprayed professionally in the original colour to a very high standard. to the point where I don't really think anyone could tell it has been repaired - but I mention it for honesty and completeness. I paid nearly £4000 for this bike two and a half years ago. merited by its condition and service history. The price now is considerably lower than this due to the time of year. need for an mot and minor service. and the fact that I've had to repair some minor damage. Edit (22nd September) - when I said send me your offers. I didnt expect offers 30% lower than my asking price. which is already lower than my original price and competitively priced compared to others available!!!!!

Please just LOOK at how much these are advertised for - the average price for one of these (just on ebay!) is over £3200. so ask yourself before you send me an offer - is it a REALISTIC offer that might tempt me into selling it. and if not please dont waste my time. As a guide I was offered £2650 within 3 days of putting the bike up for sale originally. and after a little consideration I refused it - because the bike is simply worth more than that.
