Never Titled - Comes with its Certificate of Origin (from Ducati) - Mileage - 570 Kilometers = 353 Miles.

If you are looking for a jewel to add to your collection. (#499) is a time warp and one of the best!   This is a 29 year old motorcycle with 353 miles.

The 750F1A was Taglioni?ˆ™s last design and (593) were produced. Few came to the United States and this is most likely the only one in the United States never titled and comes with the (From Ducati) Manufactures Certificate of Origin.

The original purchaser bought the bike from Sunnyvale Imports in Santa Monica. California. The first time his mother saw the motorcycle. she made her son promise he would never ride it again. Somehow convincing. the motorcycle was pushed to the rear of 'her' garage.   It did not to see the light of day again until 2006 when I found it. still with gas in its aluminum tank.  Since owning I have not tried to start and its turn signals have been removed due to the plastic drying.

If you want one of the best collectible and still reasonably priced Ducati's (compared to new models). nbsp;you're looking at it.

In 1985 Ducati was going out of business.   Sales were down from a high of more than 6. 00 bikes in 1981 to less than 2. 00 in 1985.   On May 1st of that year Cagiva purchased Ducati from the Italia government for Three Million Pounds.

Mick Walker wrote of the F1 .  "To the true believers the F1 represents the last of the real Ducatis. in other words the traditionally raw-boned sporting motorcycle. without an ounce of fat to be seen anywhere.  With its razor-sharp styling. the F1 evoked a passion in Ducati Lovers" . "It was fitting. therefore. nbsp;that this model should have been one of the best ever to come out of the Bologna factory. A motorcycle in the true Italian tradition. With a chassis based on the four-times World Championship winning. F2 racer. it was endowed with road-holding and handling to match the very best. "  His ?ˆ?Illustrated Buyer?ˆ™s Guide Ducati?ˆ™ reads . ?ˆ?If you find . or already own. an F1 (?ˆ?Four Stars?ˆ?) my advice is to hang on to it.

Cycle World Magazine said "Ducati must have known a line was about to be drawn in the history books and the people there must have wanted to leave a last entry.  Because the F1 is everything an Italian sports bike is expected to be and so seldom is. "

Motorcycle International Magazine titled their article about the 750F1A "Extinction with Distinction" written by Fraser Stronach.  In the articles closing Fraser writes. "If the Formula 1 Replica is the last Ducati it's a hell of a way for the name to go out. "
