1977 XLCR

I bought this motorcycle brand new in Van Nuys California the summer of 1978. it had been sitting in the dealership for a year. I rode it two summers and put 5200 miles on it. In 1980 I moved to Seattle and it has hardly turned a wheel since. it has always been stored indoors. Everything is original except the license plate mount. the battery and the tires. I have the original tires but they are not mounted. The bike comes with both seats. parts manual. service manual. owners manual and warranty card. [But no warranty]. This is not a museum piece. it does have some paint chips and minor scratches. rust on the brake discs. and the exhaust pipes are dirty. I put new oil. new gas and a new battery in last month. started it and rode around the block went thru all the gears and everything works fine. What happens when these 35 year old gaskets get good and warm is up to you to discover. I will do whatever I can to assist in delivery. On Mar-31-15 at 19:35:31 PDT. seller added the following information:Someone has asked for pictures of the paint scratches and chips so I have added some. The scratch on the tank is tiny and can be touched up with a brush. the battery cover fell off once and has scratches in the paint and the AMF decal. The rear fender has been polished too hard and the paint is very thin on one edge. The starter rear cover has a chip in the black wrinkle finish. The left hand engine side cover has bald spots in the wrinkle finish.
