Description

I've had tis bike since 1992 from an estate sale in Ohio with an Ohio title. It was stored in a garage for years. The owner wouldn't sell it when he was alive and it wasn't available until it came up on an estate sale. It was always a custom bike. It looks like he tried to make the bike newer looking along with custom accessories of the day. he chromed a lot including the springer front end and the complete. rare Flanders handlebar set-up. I had the chrome re-done 20 years ago and still looks excellent today. The 1937 UL model was the first year and the 1937 ULH 80 inch. was the top of the line. The motor is all original. no damage or repairs and was totally re-built by Bill's Custom Cycles in Bloomsburg. PA. including the sleeveing the cylinders to standard and the rare 51L carburetor. The motor and bike has a little over 200 miles on it. This first year 1937 ULH 80 inch motor is very rare and has a large value in it's own right. When I started restoring it in the 1990's the frame had too many issues to be safe so I replaced it with an early 40's frame powder coated. I kept all the original parts down to nuts and bolts as much as possible. all the rare parts on this bike are for a Knuckle too. except for the tanks. It has: Corbin leather buddy seat. The tires. rims and stainless spokes are new. the star hubs are NOS. the rims were laced and trued by Bill's Cycles in PA. the tires are balanced with Dyna-Beads. all the chain and sprockets are new. rear chain is sealed O-ring chain. Some of the rare 37 parts are: M 51L carburetor. front fender running light. spot lights. headlight. horn. foot clutch. oil tank. brake light switch. gas tanks. bottom and cover of the skull dash. front brake lever. speedometer with NOS face. complete battery box. nbsp;NOS generator cut-out. you can ask about other parts that I have probably forgotten to put down. The tail light is an original tombstone that I added. It has unique accessories from the 1940's which include: Shifter gate with reversed shifting pattern. front and rear fender tips. spot light bracket that comes around to the sides and luggage rack other NOS parts are: inner primary and clutch. All the fenders. mirror. chain guard. transmission. front and rear brakes. rear kick stand. side kick stand. all brackets and many other parts are all original Harley. This is a very rare and unique bike that will gain attention anywhere you ride it. You could ride it for a year then part it out and double your money. It is a one kick start. reliable bike that rides like new. I have it insured for over $33. 00. 00; if you parted it out the parts would bring more than that. and you could never build a bike of this quality for that money. This bike has been carefully restored using all the original bolts and brackets that I could. only using quality new parts when I absolutely had to. I will want a $500. 00 deposit non refundable through PayPal and the rest CASH or Postal money orders. This bike is a sound investment and you can enjoy it as the value goes up. I will give a list of local bike shops if you want an independent inspection. Asking what my bottom dollar is won't be answered. This auction is for the bike only. not selling any parts. The rareity and uniqueness of this once in a lifetime bike is an opportunity that doesn't come along very often. I will assist with loading or any other help for delivery. If you have any questions or require more pictures you can reach me at 207 285 3020 before 7PM eastern time.
