Very attractive 2000 HD Springer began life as a a FATBOY. Bike was an EBAYpurchase in 2005 from a dealer in Wisconsin. The color scheme was Yellow/Black and the motor had already been bumped up to 1550ccShortly after purchase we decided to make some changes. The bike was stripped to the frame. All orange parts were shipped to SUMAX in NY state forpowder coating . The transmission was torn down and themain shaft wasreplaced toaccommodatethe 250 tire. The Fatboy front end was sold and the Springer forks and triple tree headlamp and assorted parts were obtained. The brakes are JAYBRAKE blackanodized calipers with braided lines. AVON front and rear tires were mounted on powder coated rims. Matching laced sprocket rotors and chrome belt guard were installed. The fenderswingarm and transmission parts were purchased from HEARTLAND as their 250 Bobber kit. The rear fender struts have slots to mount a passenger seat (not included here). The rear fender is a Russ Wernimont with frenched in tag and brake lamp housing. Brake lamp flashes three times before staying on when braking. The battery was replaced within the last year and a half. The carburetor was just overhauled and the air filter is a K&N oil lubed unit. The facelift was started at about 16000 miles (less than 3000 miles ago). The seat is covered by Danny Gray Seats with the accent cross and custom leather material. Bike is equipped with a HD oil cooler. The handle bars are HD mini apes with internal wiring and the grips are custom orange/black from SAC. The only defects we know of are some flaking of the orange powder coat on the head/rocker box (highlighted in the pictures). A chip on the rear swing arm because the softail shocks are lowered and if a bad pothole isencountered theswingarm will contact the rear strut (see photo). There is a squeak in the rear when under way. The bearing has been checked out as well as any rubbingto the belt or pulleys nothing has been found. This bike gets looks and positivereviews whenever it is ridden. The seller will assist the buyer with shipping (as in being on hand to help load the machine) any costs related to shipping are the responsibility of the buyer.Terms of the sale are Cash or bank transfer.
