Offered for consideration, n the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the Electra Glide and end of the Pan Head motor, s my 1965 Harley Davidson FLH Electra Glide. Matching engine and frame numbers.
This is the bike I always wanted when I learned about the Harley line of historically significant motorcycles.
The features that make this one of the greatest bikes for Harley are:

  • First year for the “Electra Glide”
  • First year with 12 volt electrical system.
  • First year with electric starter.
  • Beginning of new engine features like the cast aluminum primary case cover, tc.
  • Mostly, hough, his is the last year of the Pan Head Motor!

For those who know, his model stands along with a couple of others. 47 Knuckle, 7 Pan and a lot of other historically notable bikes. This was the last bike to be made while the company was still a family owned business. They became apublicly held corporation in 1966 and by 1969 were becoming AMF.
The best part about my bike is I enjoyed riding it! It isn't a show piece. I rode it around Orange County, A and got out of it exactly what I expected. In fact, t’s in the same condition as it was then, n 1998, hen I got it.
The bike needs some stuff. Speedometer, eutral light and oil light (has an oil pressure gauge.), ogo, mblems, orn and switch, nd do-dads. All, ot a big deal as I checked them out and see that nothing is hard to find. I just didn't care that the bike was perfect, ust that it was reliable and fun. It always was. It was repainted with the original blue and white color scheme that has always been my favorite of all Harley paint jobs and though there are a couple of small nicks, t looks great and turns heads every time I was on the road.

One nice feature is this engine is equippedwith the cooler running outside oiler system.
So, hy am I selling it? My age and aching back. Mainly, y back. I just can’t take the stress to my degenerative discs and manage it, ny longer. I haven't been able to for a long time, nd the bike has sat long enough. I parked it after I retired and moved to Joshua Tree, A., ondering if I would get back on it. Now, know I never will. So, ere she goes….
I changed the oil, ut some fresh gas in the tank, ut a new battery in and checked out the regular stuff. Hitting the starter button first time, t started right up, ust like normal. Warming it up, t sat and idled just like it always has for me. Putting down the dirt roads in Joshua Tree was delightful, s I get ready to let her go…..
Included are the original fiberglasssaddlebagswith mounting brackets. Also, s my old leather bags, hat I preferred back in the day.
I did some surface cleaning, ut, hat was never my strong point and there is lots of room for someone to put their own signature on this bike.
I invite questions.

My opening bid is 14k. I think the bike is worth more, ut this seems like a fair price that I will accept, onsidering eBay fees and other charges.

Without doubt, his will be a great investment with the benefit of great personal enjoyment.
