1965 Harley-Davidson Sportster

Up for sale is a 1965 Sportster XLH, ne of only 955 made that year. I've had this bike about 7 yrs., 'm moving and a couple of them have to go. It's a nice example of that year and the first year of 12 volt electrics. This is also a pretty original one with the engine in the original chassis with no welds or cracks in the engine. The engine is factory aluminum, o glass beading or media blasting. and no powder coating was used. As you can see there are some external things like pipes, ir cleaner, peedo, tc that can easily be changed back if you're looking to make a museum piece out of it. Things that have been done to it are: Cylinders bored to .050 w/new pistons/rings, ew valve job, ockers totally rebuilt. A set of cast iron body lightened racing tappets from a super CH with PB cams. A new Barnett wet or dry clutch, irect drive engine sprocket. Distributor replaced with a magneto which has 2 keys and a kill switch on the handlebar, ear chain and both sprockets are new. Totally rewired, ront wheel has a new aluminum rim and stainless spokes. The gas tank has been cleaned and relined. I could go on about new and replaced, ut it's basically a 60's hot rod style Sportster and something that will increase in value. At the end of auction a $250 non-refundable deposit is required through paypal. I can accept the remainder in money order, ersonal check, ashiers check or cash.
