You are bidding on a 1971 Harley Davidson Police Model Servi-Car. I am selling 2 of these Servi-Cars for a good friend. He had it set up to donate this one and another one to a local historic foundation that he has donated other historic vehicles to in the past but he found out that all they were going to do with these Servi-cars was sell them. so he decided to do that himself. Please see my other auctions for the other Servi-Car. This 45 cubic inch Servi-Car was once used by the Dallas. TX police department. This Servi-Car has been restored to very close to original condition. The bike is equipped with a wheel driven siren. red lights and Motorola radio control head. The trunk mounted radio is not the original Mocom 70 Motorola unit but is a scanner. The lights and siren all work fine and the siren is very loud. My buddy bought this Servi-Car from a G. I. living in Montreal. Canada a number of years ago and it needed to be restored. As part of the restoration a new rear box was installed as the original box had been removed and replaced by a seating unit for passengers. When the bike was at the restoration shop someone stole the original speedometer and seat. The speedometer and seat now on the bike are reproductions. This is why there are just 11 miles showing on the odometer. My buddy remembers that there were somewhere around 6. 00 miles on the original odometer when he bought it. The bike is equipped with electric start and it starts right up and runs fine. The bike has a 3 speed transmission with reverse. The bike leaks a little oil but someone experienced with these motors could remedy that I am sure. There are no broken fins on the cylinders and everything else regarding the engine appears to be good to go. The winning bidder must arrange pickup or shipping of the bike. A $1. 00 non refundable deposit made through PayPal is required at completion of the auction. The balance may be paid in cash upon pickup or by cashier's check 14 days before bike is picked up or by wire transfer directly into my account at least 7 days prior to pickup.
