1998 Harley-Davidson Heritage Springer Softail - FLSTS

For sale is a beautiful 1998 Heritage Springer Softail. Model FLSTS.

The color is Vivid Black. with Red Trim - considered to be one of the most desirable color combinations for this very desirable model.

The Heritage Springer Model FLSTS came loaded from the factory with chrome. and this bike has the following additions:* Chrome luggage rack with hand-rail. Leather "Two-Up" Tour Bag mounted on luggage rack. Smoke-shaded windshield. with quick-mount/quick-release mounting attachment. Leather windshield bag. Straight "fishtail" exhaust pipes. Chrome transmission cover. Chrome shift rod. Lowering kit installed on bottom shocks to reduce overall seat and ride height. High-wattage passing lamps. High-wattage high-beam. Kit installed that makes rear turn signals work with brake light. High-wattage brake light. Custom-installed matching black-red leather brake/clutch handle fringe. Highway bar(also known as "engine bar" or "crash bar"). New handlebar grips. Optional/removable seat rail cushion.

Original fishtail mufflers are included with the sale.   These mufflers were run on the bike until the warranty period expired. and then were removed. coated with rust-preventative. nbsp;and stored.

"Gangster-sidewall" tires have at least 1/8-inch of tread on them.

Battery is fairly new. Steering head bearings replaced by Harley-Davidson dealer at 54. 00 miles.

All specified and routine maintenance was performed on the bike at specified intervals.

The bike has never been run hard. and has always been stored inside in a heated garage. Bike recently passed(Sept 2014) Pa. State One-Year Inspection.

This motorcycle is a real head-turner. drawing attention wherever is goes.   It is sometimes called the "Old Boy". but is mostly known as a "Hertiage Springer". and is basically inspired by. and modeled after. the 1948 Harley FL "Panhead". The only reason I am selling it is because overwhelming arthritis prevents me from riding it anymore.
