Harley Davidson 1340 softail with 240 rear conversionMy 1986 fxst softail with only 2 former keepers. as you can see from the pics it has been transformed dramatically from its original form partly by myself and by its former owner. It has an Arlen ness front end with a slight rake and wide beach bars. the rear end is a 240 conversion which has adjustable shocks to higher/lower ride height. (if you know Harley's I am sure you will be aware of the cost involved with a wide rear conversion on its own) It is in its original frame. it has its original engine and the numbers match. Speedo reads 98k this is wrong without a doubt as the tank and speedo are not from the origional bike but were fitted by the former keeper (the only items from the original fxst are the frame and engine) When I bought the bike the previous owner told me that the engine had been overhauled but there are no docs to confirm this. all I can say is there are no knocks. bangs or rattles and she pulls like a train and have no reason to think the overhaul was not done. Since I have owned the bike I have compiled a file full of receipts. docs mot. etc for various parts bought to create this bike. I would describe the condition as excellent but not mint. its not a show bike its a bike that gets ridden even if it is only in the dry on a Sunday when the chance arises.  It is taxed until June 2015 and MOT'd until Aug 2015. I have a guaranteed insurance value on it of £9000 with Carole Nash Insurance and it costs me £175 a year fully comp.  You can see a video of the bike on Youtube along with another bike I built.
