1998 Sportster Sport XL 1200S

Selling a 1998 Sportster Sport 1200S. This bike is in great condition and only has 3. 00 miles on it.  I'm the second owner. bought the bike last year but due to recurring back problems this year I only got to put about 500 miles on it. Picked up the bike last fall. was an amazing low mileage "barn" find. just needed a little bit of love to get back on the road. tires. carb cleaning. etc.  Between me and the original owner here's what's been done to it:- Replaced both tires- New rear brake pads- Rush 3" slip-on mufflers with 2" baffles. seriously sounds amazing- New petcock and fuel line- Replaced intake gaskets/o-rings - Fully cleaned carb- New Harley Davidson battery - Screaming Eagle intake and air filter (original owner)- Dyno Jet Thunder Slide carb kit (original owner)- Screaming Eagle ignition (original owner)The bike is in amazing condition but the gas tank does have two small blemishes. shown in the photos:- Slightly scuffed line on back portion of tank from where the original owner had a leather tank bra on it. Some rubbing compound and polish and it should buff out. - One small nick. about 1/8"-1/4". up front on the right side. It's small and not really noticeable but I want to be completely accurate in my description. Anyways. this bike is a blast to ride and I wish I could keep it. handles great. rips off the line and has tons power throughout the rpms. Here's some info about the 1200S Sportster.  The 1200S Sportster Sport was only made from 1996-2003 and was the fastest and best handling rigid mount Sportster from the factory. Some things that separate the 1200S from the other XL rigid mount Sportsters:- Fully adjustable rear piggy back shocks - Fully adjustable front forks- Dual front disc brakes- 10. 0:1 compression- Dual plug heads- W grind camsThe bike is garage kept in Williamsburg.
