Welcome to the advert for the sale of my 1999 Honda VTR 1000 Firestorm?ˆ¦. ?ˆ?with a difference?ˆ™

I have owned the bike on two occasions. I sold it the first time and then realised what a huge mistake I had made and bought it back less than a year later - so of the 5 previous owners. one was me before!

The bike has done 27. 90 miles and has been serviced with regular oil and filter changes.

The bike is in very good conditions for its age and due to various modifications it continues to look and feel like a bike of much younger years.

The best way I can describe the modifications are that they have been completed to improve not only the looks of the bike but also. more importantly. the way in which it handles. The improvements subsequently make the bike great fun to ride and at the same time a real head turner!

The modifications include?ˆ¦.

Whole front end including forks. bars. front brake discs. and front wheel removed and replaced with the whole front end from a 2003 Honda Fireblade. Various reviews of the standard Firestorm suggested that the front end often felt ?ˆ?vague?ˆ™. this improvement has certainly changed this with the steering giving plenty of feedback and making it incredibly direct. Both front and rear tyres have plenty of wear left in them; I would estimate that I have covered only 100 to 200 miles since they were replaced. Both front and rear tyres are Bridgestone Battlax BT-021.

The rear footrests are currently fitted as last time I rode it I took my wife out. however I have stainless steel bolts that allow for the removal of the rear footrests and really tidy up the rear end of the bike.

It was MOT?ˆ™d 2 months ago and passed with no advisories listed; the bike also currently has 6 months tax remaining.

This is an excellent bike and I?ˆ™m only selling it as due to an injury meaning I?ˆ™m unable to continue riding it.

UPDATE - I have had a few questions reference when the cam chain tensioners were replaced. I have receipts for the replacement of both front and rear tensioners dated the 23rd and 30th October 2010. nbsp;the mileage at the time of the replacement was 23. 55 miles so only 4500 miles ago.
