1998 HONDA BLACKBIRD CBR 1100XX – CARB’D

First registered 18/08/98 it has 2 former keepers. The previous keeper acquired the bike at 10 months old. kept it for 11yrs and clocked up 48. 00 miles. I purchased the bike in Aug 2010 and being a second bike have only clocked up 2. 20 miles. Mileage is now 50. 18 miles.

This is a good honest bike with nothing more than a few minor marks or scuffs that you would associate with a 16 year old bike. It is MOT’d till Sept 2015 and currently on SORN. It is one of the first carb'd versions and although it has very little service history. there are a few receipts. it has been serviced at regular intervals. I have just fitted a brand new battery this week. The oil was replaced with Mobil 1 and the oil filter and air filter changed using genuine Honda filters. I also replaced the spark plugs with NGK Iridium plugs. As a precautionary measure I replaced the CCT (cam chain tensioner). Most of the old MOTs are present along with the original handbook. tool kit. two keys. sales brochure and a Haynes manual. As far as I can tell it has been kept original. It has been totally reliable and runs perfectly. Don't be put off by the mileage. these bikes are more than capable of much higher trouble free miles.
