For sale. Honda CBR 600. This is the original 'jelly mould' version of the CBR. and despite the age is still in great condition. I bought it a little over a year ago to commute to work and as an excuse to return to riding. but I changed jobs and never really found another excuse to use her. I took the picture of the mileage a little while ago and have taken her up and down the street a few times since so there might be a few more miles than advertised on the clock. I could go out to the garage and get the exact mileage. but it's freezing out there and I haven't got my shoes on.
As I said. the overall condition is very good and she would not take much to bring up to an excellent standard. The bike has stood in my dry garage for a while but I regularly start her up to keep everything ticking over so to speak. The previous owner did quite a bit of work including powder-coated wheels. new chain. rear shock. brake lines and caliper seals so these are relatively new. Even the exhaust looks pretty new. though I don't remember the previous owner mentioning it. There is a bit of rust build up on the rear disc however so it's worth adding a few feet to your braking distances should you want to open up the throttle a little. though before you even look to taking her to the road she will need an MOT and Tax. as such you will need to arrange a trailer or some such to get her home.
I have the V5 some service history. various other bits of paperwork and two keys. If you have any questions please email or call and I will do my best to answer them. Collection is from Milton Keynes MK8. Anyone familiar with buying from Ebay will know the standard protocols here; If you click to buy it. you bought it at the price advertised and that is what I expect you to pay when you collect it. If you click buy and then renege or fail to show. you will be reported to Ebay as a non-payer. If you want to negotiate a different price. do so before arriving to collect (barring in mind I don't expect to cover the cost of you travelling to me. if you live hundreds of miles away. that's your problem. not mine). I do not entertain last minute re-negotiations. pay the agreed price or consider your journey here a wasted one. I am more than happy for anyone to come and view the bike beforehand. I can start her up and you can have a listen. but I cannot offer test rides as without an MOT she is not road legal. She is sold as seen. I offer no warranty. I do not want part-ex. I will not export.
Apologies if that all seems a bit harsh but I have sold vehicles on Ebay before and am all too aware that there are some serious ****heads out there. I've got over 1500 positive feedback both buying and selling because I believe in a simple honest 'cash for goods' transaction with no faffing about. So if you are an honest ebayer looking to buy a classic CBR. you're the right person in the right place. thanks for viewing! :) Payment in cash preferred. bankers draft or personal cheque will need to clear in my account (up to 10 days) before collection can be arranged.
I reserve the right to end the listing early as the bike is advertised elsewhereEdit: Forgot to add. the tank bag in the pics. you get that too! There are also 2 spare wheels (front and back) in Red which will come with the bike. there's no sprocket or discs on them but they have good tyres on!Also published at eBay.com
