Description

1984 Honda CD200 Benly in genuinely very nice condition

Hi and thanks for looking. This is a 10 day auction with a sensible reserve and no buy it now price. It is not advertised anywhere else and I will not stop the auction for any reason so you can bid with confidence that only the highest bidder will win the auction.

I have the V5

New MOT until 11 February 2016

Some old MOT's

Only 3 previous owners

This lovely old Benly has done very little in the last seven years it's only covered 511 miles. It has been owned for the last couple of years by a very nice retired gentleman. He kept it garaged and very tidy but just wasn't using it.

I must say this is a very tidy and well kept bike. It starts on the button and rides and runs fine. Occasionally when the throttle is shut down there's a short over run but it's very minor.

The paint on the tank etc is very good. there's a little bit of spiders webbing in the paint but not bad for thirty one years old.

Most of the chrome is fine. the front and rear mud guards are really good. the header pipes are very good. the silencers are fair with a bit of dotting but very serviceable. (I hear David Silver do them new for just ?35 each!). The wheel rims would clean up with a bit of Autosol and a bit of elbow grease but they're not bad.

It went through the MOT with no advisories.

I've got to say. when I got it back to my store I couldn't stop riding it for about an hour! It's like a cheeky pony! I'm almost temped to keep it for nipping about on this summer.

You can see how nice it is in the pictures but please ask any questions.

Viewing

You are welcome to come and have a look for yourself. by appointment.   I am happy to e-mail pictures direct to your own e-mail address so that you can see greater detail and I am more than happy to answer any questions you have to the best of my knowledge. I describe all my bikes as accurately as I can and do my best to notice as much detail as possible whilst I am cleaning them.  I ride all bikes that are being sold as runners before I list them to make sure they ride as they should or as per the description.  When you buy a bike from me you are welcome to have a mechanic check it over before you collect.

All my auctions run for 10 days. I always run my auctions to the finish unless there is a buy it now price displayed.

Transport

I have my own pick up so I may be able to help with local deliveries for a fee.

For deliveries that are a little further afield. I can recommend a very professional motorcycle courier called who's delivery costs are more than reasonable (phone number on request) or you can get a free quote from Shiply (it’s a web site a bit like eBay where courier companies bid for your delivery) using this link. http://www. shiply. com/rf/TQIGW8UGLA/ I’ve had some customers who have used the site and have been very pleased with the results.

I’m in South Devon

I am located in beautiful sunny South Hams in Devon close to Plymouth. Exeter and Totnes. so handy for trains or Exeter airport. The roads are twisty and scenic. so why not collect and make a weekend of it. Ride stunning coastal roads or head up on to the moors and end the day with a good meal and a few pints of Jail Ale at the Plume of Feathers in Princetown (there’s camping and a bunk house if you over do it!) Head for The Camel and discover the vineyard that beat the best Champaign to hold the title for the world’s best sparkling rose.  Don’t go home without a mega brunch at Cap’n Jaspers on the Barbican in Plymouth. nbsp;loved by bikers. sailors. later-nighters and. er. pirates!? Spend an evening in great company. alfresco at The Winking Prawn in Salcombe or spend a lazy afternoon at The Oyster Shack in Aveton Gifford. Of course there are cream teas. pasties and some brilliant British surf.  Great gastro pubs. beer and loads of B&B's.  Most importantly you’ll find a welcome from all the bikers in Devon and Cornwall which has the highest density of motorcycles per capita in the UK!

I’m a Trader.

I am selling as a TRADER (this differs from a DEALER: I do not have a retail premises) with 20 years' experience in the trade. I managed a BMW dealership since 1999 (UK's favourite dealer 2006/7 RiDE Survey).  Previous experience in a multi-franchise and a London Harley Davidson dealer.
