1997 HONDA CBR 1100 XX SUPER BLACKBIRD

1997 Honda CBR1100 XX Super Blackbird.  The early. more powerful carburettor type.  Resplendent in black. New. 12 month MOT and taxed until the end of November 2014. It has covered just 36. 06 miles from new so given it's age and the fact that it's a Blackbird (capable of HUGE mileages) it's barely run in! :)I'm not one for the usual claims of 'mint' or 'immaculate' however. this bike is very. very nice condition indeed. Superb for it's age.  It has some minor scratches and marks here and there and some stone chips behind the front wheel and on the leading edges of the fairing lowers but most people comment on how they can't believe how amazing it looks and they're right.  I'm confident that this is about as good as they get. given the age and mileage.  If I were keeping it. I would get the wheels powder coated and the fork lowers re-finished. Unusually. it is fitted with a FULL 4 into 1 Akrapovic. road legal system in titanium (BIG money) and from the best exhaust system manufacturer in the world.  So. no scabby. original mild steel headers to suddenly blow holes or cheap. power-sapping Chinese stainless replacements either to worry about. It also has the following:K & N air filterUp-graded front fork spring kit (by Jaws specialists)6mm rear shock top spacer (helps it turn in effortlessly) - also by JawsDouble bubble screenUp-graded reg/rec (a common Honda problem)A Spyball alarm/immobiliser system with 2 working fobs and the certificate is fitted. along with a Datatag for added security.
