1979 Honda CT70

CA. Titled and Current Registration

Up for sale is my custom built “Hot Rod” CT70 modified “Trail 88”. This bike is very unique in many ways. Everything on this bike is new or custom. This bike turns heads everywhere it goes due to its unique look and deep sound. Everywhere I stop people gather around it in admiration. The Bike has a California title in my name. This bike was built by none other than Mini Trail Madness in Glendora CA. The bike is fast with lots of torque. I have only had it up to 45mph. It starts on first kick.

Engine:

China’s best made Lifan 107cc engine with 4 speed manual transmission that has a 1 down 3 up shift pattern. This engine has a very good reputation. It has a wire harness conversion on it so I could still use the stock wire harness and key switch. It has a Chrome race pipe with a polished muffler and removable baffle, ustom anodized red valve covers pick up the red in “Trail 88 decal”. It has a 24mm Japanese made KF carburetor with custom chrome foam air cleaner. New chain and thefront sprocket is a 16 tooth and the rear sprocket is a 32 tooth. It took some time to get the carburetor jetted just right. The spark plug is a perfect light golden brown. You don’t want it too rich, ut you want it lean as possible. You can lean it out more after the break in. Break in period is 150 miles.

Wheels:

It has chrome wheels and the center brake hubs were polished with new seals and brake shoes. I installed Pirelli SL26 street tires that stick like glue to the road. Thefront tire is a 130/90-10 and the rear is 120/90-10. They make the bike look awesome!

Frame:

The fame, orks and swing arm are powder coated a candy emerald green. Powder coat is much better than paint. It won't fade or chip. This is the correct color for the “H” model. This is an incredible color. It is hard to capture the true deep candy color with the camera. I have posted pictures withdifferentangles and lighting for the purpose of trying to see the deep rich color. The frame has “Trail 88” decals. Just to be different and custom. It has new brake, lutch, hrottle and speedometer cables. I was able to use the stock controls by modifying the throttle cable for the new carburetor. It has a new NOS key switch, ew wire harness with new harness rubber grommet in the frame, ew brake and clutch levers, ew tail light, ew footbrake switch, ew seat, ew rubber grommets, ail light bracket is re-chrome original equipment, ew brake springs, oot brake was re-chromed original equipmen, nbsp;new kick start lever, ew gear shift lever. It has custom foot-pegs and chrome kickstand that look cool. The original Honda fenders were re-chromed. The front fender had some dents behind the forks on the back side that I fixed. It is not perfect but not really noticeable. It has aChrome head light bucket. The head light is a LED so it is always nice and bright even at idol. Also take notice of the custom headlight bucket mount to the forks. All the stock hardware was re-zinced for a nice detail touch. It has a new sealed 12 volt battery and rectifier with custom made battery box to accommodate the bigger battery. It has new bars and thehandle bar mount was polished with re-chromed triple clamp and bolts, nd new handlebar knobs were installed. It has anew horn button and the hi/low switch is Honda NOS. It hasnew heavy duty rear gas shocks, ear rack and side grab bar. I hadthe front fork tubes fully polished to a chrome like look. The bike looks “BAD ASS” you won’t be disappointed. There is an extreme amount of time, oney and detailin this bike.
