AHRMA17L: Selling motorcycles and parts on eBay since 1998--17 Years!
1995 Honda XR600R: Nearly new, nly 400 miles use since new. Titled, lated, nd street licensed. The bike starts on the first or second kick, s tuned perfectly, nd runs excellent.
I purchased this XR from the original owner who was 78 years old about 3 years ago with the intent of building either an ultimate dualsport bike or a Johnny Cambell Baja Replica. He rode it 198 miles and I have ridden it twice for another 202.
It is 100% stock and original except for the 2 x 100 watt Ricky stator I installed to run the lights on a separate circuit from the ignition (stock stator comes with the bike), he brake light switch, nd I uncorked it and installed Summers recommended jetting. I have an XR's Only Choke plate.
As the pictures illustrate, he bike is essentially new aside from some bleeding of the tank graphics. I have actually never washed it and it is as clean as it looks. Always stored inside a heated garage or shop.
Comes with the original manual, ool kit, xhaust insert, irbox snorkle, tock jets, riginal stator, tock brake banjo bolt. Titled in my name, treet licensed with plate, egistered through April 2017. Title is coded "MC."
The only reason the bike is for sale is to buy a DR650 for a 8,000-10,000 mile trip I am planning from Oregon to New York and back.
PLEASE NOTE: While the bike is titled, lated and licensed, have not installed a street legal lighting kit--I simply never got around to doing the project as my 2nd daughter was born shortly after I bought the bike. I do have one slightly used Baja Designs E-Z Mount kit I would sell and install for $350 and also have a new one in the box I would sell and install for $450. The used kit is hard wired for a Garmin GPS.
I would guess this is one of the nicest original XR600s in existence. Why spend $6,000 on an XR650L when you can have this?
Now for the business stuff...
Please ask any and all questions before bidding as the sale of the XR is final. I generally answer questions the same day, ut will answer all questions within 24 hours.
I have sold something like 220 motorcycles on eBay over the past 17 years, ost coming from the collection of Vintage Motocross bikes I amassed when I was into vintage racing. I have shipped them literally all over the world. Due to the issues with shipping internationally, will no longer ship anywhere outside of the US. An international buyer is welcome, ut the international bidder will need to take care of ALL arrangements. Please keep in mind time differences, ustoms issues, nd the requirements and restrictions of your country. For example, ho would guess you can't import a motorcycle over 100cc to an expatiate in Bermuda (that on a 1969 Yamaha AT-1 125 I sold) or that there are reimportation issues of certain exported and foreign sold motorcycles back to Italy or Spain (that on a 1976 OSSA).
In the past I used Forward Air domestically. Their rates have gone up substantially, ut I still used them mainly due to my familiarity with their system and wide network. Here's how shipping works: The bike will be crated in a fully enclosed 2" x 4" reinforced wooden crate that is 24" x 44" x74" in size--I bear the cost of the crate. People who have received my bikes call these "Fort Knox Boxes." The cost of shipping is $550 via Forward Air from Portland, regon to any destination airport Forward Air has a location. I will bear any cost in excess of the $550. If the shipping cost is less, will refund the difference to the penny and send a cashiers check with a copy of the Forward Air charges back to the buyer via either Fed Ex or USPS Next Day mail.
If you are uncomfortable with any of these arrangements, hen I recommend that you do not bid on the motorcycle as I do not need the hassle of an uncertain buyer. 17 years on eBay and 100% feedback should be your reassurance. You are more than welcome to arrange for your own shipping carrier (i.e. Yellow Freight, r any number of motorcycle specific carriers) and I'll still crate for free and drop off anywhere in the Portland, regon metro area, ut the arrangement are solely up to the buyer. I ship to Alaska via the Boyer Alaska Barge and to Hawaii via Honolulu Freight Service.
Thanks for your interest an bid. This is an outstanding motorcycle!
