HONDA VTR1000 SUPERHAWK, RED, ADULT OWNED, GARAGE KEPT, 1 OWNER.

 Up for sale is my beautiful 1998 Honda VTR 1000 Superhawk. Adult owned! I purchase it basically brand new from a private seller with about 800 mile on it back in late 1998. It was bone stock and well taken care of. Never been down!!! I too have kept it garaged and serviced for the 15 years I have owned it. Very sad to sell it but I think it's time for her to move on to a new owner. If you ever have had to pleasure to ride one of these you usually are hooked for the moment you twist the throttle. I personally love V-Twins and this is basically poor man's Ducati. I am 6'2" and around 195 lbs and I have rode with the best of my friends and what my Superhawk may lack in HP. she makes up for it in Torque and Ride-ability. I always tell everyone that I have rode faster bikes but never one more fun. Anyway. As you see by the pics that I have done a little custom work to the bike. As far as performance. all I have done is the Devil High Mount Slip on exhaust which sound amazing and a Dyna-Jet kit for the carbs. Upgraded to braided steel brake lines up front. She has 27. 22 miles on her and yes they have been fun miles but well taken care of miles. Only mechanical work I have done is a new clutch at about 25. 00 miles which I flushed the radiator and installed a new water pump at that same time because they have to be removed for clutch replacement. Clutch was all factory Honda with new fiber and steel plates and new springs. And of course the other items I have updated are the usual wear items like Chain & Sprockets. brakes and tires. Oil changes every 2000 to 2500 miles with the HP4 Honda synthetic blend & Honda filter. Just change oil and all the fluids last month. Other accessories are Corbin Gunfighter and Lady seat with the backrest which was over $500 year ago. Tinted windscreen. Lockhart turn signals. Two Brothers Racing smog emissions block off plates. Sharkskin lower painted to match and a few items that are Chrome plated for accent. I also polished the edges of the wheels for a nice look and still have in good condition Michelin Pilot Sports for plenty more miles of fun. I even have the Honda Shop manual in print and CD for parts. Nothing to do but ride this bike. She needs to be ridden. Owning 2 bikes I just lack the time to get on this one. I still have almost all the stock parts if you want them and I will include soft ties and tie downs and a nice Pit-bull rear stand if I get the right price. This bike is a 9. 5 out of 10. She is 15 years old so you do have a little wear but you will not find a nicer one around that is basically all original. Promise you that. Please don't insult me with a low ball bid because I don't need to sell it but I would like too. It comes with so many extra's to list. If you are looking for a Superhawk you will buy this one when you see it. Not many of these around anymore and I always get asked about it everywhere I go.
