44 MILES ON FRESH BUILD!
This bike was custom built from the ground up by Ride Free Cycles in Maquoketa, A. The Bike has 44 miles since a complete ground up rebuild. This cycle was built as a flag ship bike for shop promotion. The bike runs great and is in rideable condition and needs nothing. The bike is wicked fast!! The paint is in excellent condition and has zero damage or rock chips. THIS BIKE IS CLEAN AND FRESH! This is a unique one off motorcycle. The frame is a custom built double tube, ingle down tube rigid unit. The frame was professionally built and welded. This is the ultimate show stopping caf? custom motorcycle. The unit runs great and is ready to terrorize your local streets or shows! The bike stops quick, oes fast and handles like it’s on rails!
Bike is a one or two kick start bike. Bike starts easily with no issues. Idles nice and sounds MEAN!
THE BIKE IS TITLED AS A STOCK 1972 CB450 AND HAS THE ORIGINAL NECK AND VIN TAG THAT MATCHES FRAME AND ENGINE. THE BIKE IS TITLED AND INSURED IN MY NAME WITH A CLEAR IOWA TITLE. FRAME
The frame is custom bent double 1” and .75” round mild steel wall tubing. There is grate work between the custom bent tubing. The front down tube is a single 1” piece. The front down tube also has custom .5” tube working grate front work. The frame has a slight rake.
Forks
Front forks are later model Honda CM400 units. They are rebuilt and feature a single disc front brake.
Wheels
Front wheel is a Duro street tire on 19” CM400 mag with 44 miles! The rear is a Duro street tire on a 18” CM400 mag with 44 miles! The drive chain is also new with 44 miles!
Seat
The seat is a custom stitched 7x10” unit on a floating seat pan/rear fender. The entire unit is suspended by springs and a unique adjustable system to slam the rear fender as close as possible with different rider weights.
Petrol Tank
The tank is a modified antique soda blast stainless steel fire extinguisher with brass cap. The tank is 24” long and has no damage. The frame cradles the tank perfectly. The unit tilts up to fill with gas. The front cap is screw on and makes a perfect seal. The tube running atop the tank is the vent.
Handle Bars
The handle bars are custom made one piece “clip on” style fixed units. The bars are made from grate and .5” and .35” tubing. They attach to the top clamp face. The bar ends are metric 7/8th to accept all metric controls for future mods.
Headlight
Headlight is a Dead Beat Customs 5 ?” triangle unit. This is a unique light and gives good light.
Battery
Battery is a new 12v unit installed 2/25/16.
Carburetors
The stock Keihin units are in excellent rebuilt condition. There are no cracks or damage to the castings inside or out. The inside is as clean as the out. These carbs were serviced 2/25/16 and are in A1 condition as pictured. The carbs have been tuned and the plugs have a nice color and are not fouled.
Exhaust
This is the original CL exhaust to the bike. Exhaust is in excellent A1 restored condition. There is no damage or prior damage to restoration. The exhaust has been reworked and has a nice aggressive growl. The chrome on heat shield is in a1 condition.
Electrics
Simplified custom professionally installed harness. One piece reg/rec unit. Led rear tail light. Brake switch, n/off and lights.
Engine
Engine was pulled from a low mileage stock unit. Inspected and any worn parts were replaced with oem. All gaskets and ect replaced. There are no leaks or blow by. The motor has no funny noises or issues. This unit runs excellent and pulls strong. The bike starts first or second kick even on 20 degree mornings in the garage.
SPECS
The bike is 80 inches from tip to tip. Ground clearance is a perfect 5 inches for canyon carving. The handle bars end to end are 24 inches. The width of the body is 9 inches. The seat height is 24 inches. The total height at highest point is 38 inches. Have not measured total weight yet but its A LOT lighter than a stock CB450 now. You notice a very big power to weight difference between stock and this.
Bike is sold as is with no warranty implied or expressed.
Bike must be paid for in full before it leaves or title is sent. We require a $500 non-refundable deposit due within 48hrs of auction end. The rest of the due balance must be paid in full via money order, ashier’s check or cash. After the payment is made in full, he title will be released to the new owner. The title will not be released until funds are paid in full.
We will store the bike up to 90 daysafter payment at no cost.
The buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping cost.
The buyer is also welcome to pick up the bike in person in Maqouketa Iowa during normal hours. The bike is also available for viewing by request prior to sale.
