Description

I'm selling some of my collection and this is the second....unfortunately, ack issues persist, o riding is limited.
As you know, his is the last year of the V65 Magna. This bike, as my most recent mild restoration. Frankly, t was apparent, he previous owner took care of this V65 and had stored it properly with fuel drained and oil in all the right places. The paint work appears to be all original. The warning sticker(s), sually on the top of the tank have been removed at some point. The only flaw in the paint, hat I can find, s where the seat latches, n bottom of seat base, o into the top of the side covers. (See picture). Note, his is covered up when the seat is in place, f that matters. The paint is in amazing shape (CANDY GLORY RED). The wheels are incredible with no damage to chrome from exposure, ishandling or age. The switch controls & instruments are in great shape. No fading or cracking from exposure. Slight pitting on the mirror backs. Original manual packed in passenger backrest zipper pouch. It runs and handles extremely well.
The following was completed the summer of 2015:
-Carbs were removed and sent to Old School Carbs. (Jack is a master with carbs and really knows and likes Honda V-4's. He gives great advise and guidance on all related things. ) You can go to his web site to see the fantastic level of craftsmanship .
-Brakes lines and masters flushed
-Clutch line and master flushed
-Coolant flush and replaced
-Oil and filter
-Diff. oil replaced
-New Fuel lines
-New Spark Plugs
-New Fuel filters
-New OE correct size K&N Air filter
-New Battery with Battery Tender lead added
-New Michelin Commander tires installed. Wheel balanced. FYI- The Michelin's work extremely well on this bike.
-Forks removed, rained, leaned & polished, EW seals and oil replaced. Fork brace cleaned and polished as well.
-The following covers cleaned and polished: Both engine side covers (with new gaskets), ir box covers, adiator side covers, am covers (with new gaskets)
-Seat & Passenger backrest pad are original with NO damage. Amazing shape.
-4 NEW turn signal stems and bulbs installed. Stems were in good shape except for one that was slightly cracked. I replaced all 4 so they would match. ;-)
-I think the aluminum items that were not polished include the sissy bar and rack, andlebar top brackets and triple tree, peedo & tach housings, assenger peg mounts. I've indicated in a photo the blemish on the tach housing. Blemish on left hand up rite of passenger rest. Both easily polished out.
I think that's it. Hopefully the pictures do it justice. If you need any additional pictures I'll be happy to take them as late as within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Please, o rush photos at the last minute. ;-)
Feel free to ask any questions prior to end of auction. If you win the auction my advise is to choose your shipper wisely. This is a great example of the last of the V65's. I would only choose a conscientious shipper. V65's are available, ut not many 86's in this condition.
