Description

1964 dream all original bike in good condition low miles nice seat good gas tank rebuilt petcock fresh lube good brakes paint has excellent patina. This little gem has great character and mostly nice parts with many having a nearly new look. Other areas of the bike have some rust etc. The chrome is bright and shiny but has scattered pits in the chrome and occasional defects. If you like character and patina this is a really great bike mileage is only 4,450 and I think the tires are OEM. The tires seem OK but have weather checking. They are 50 years old so I didn't go faster than 40mph to be safe. My plan was to paint it white again but with one of the General Motors pearl white colors like from the Cadillac line. Well it hasn't happened and years have ticked away without me getting to the project. As a reult I am offering this very nice solid reliable bike. Everything is working as it should less the speedo which is off a bit. To be a daily driver something that can cruise at 55mph I would replace the tires. The front rim has flaking chrome but is a solid rim. Much of the chrome is excellent shocks are pristine which they rarely are these are fantastic. Rear rim great, ost nuts and bolts are great. Engine side covers need powder coating or nothing if you like original patina. The carburetor covers or "shark fins "are in place and nice solid pieces. Speedometer has crisp letters and can be moody about working. Front fender is straight and undamaged and rear fender is straight without the usual stress fracture or any sign of damage or repair. Lights work, gnition key works, nd the fork lock works with the ignition key. The bike has scattered surface rust on the pressed steel frame. None of it is serious and could be touched up and hidden, ut I kinda like it the way it is. There are some cool ornamental chrome pieces what were added in the day. They are some kind of dagmars or spiky looking things of the motorcycle world I presume. I like the additional character. Overall I want to call this bike very good, ith traces of excellent and particles of fair. Call email with questions or reach me at 92O-2O5-OO13.
