Very nice CB900F. when I bought it it hadn't run in 8 years. the story was that the bike was last on the road in 1998 and was parked (in a garage and covered) at the end of the season and left until about 8 years ago at which point the owner took it to the local Honda dealer and had it serviced (Fluids. brakes. tires etc. ) and then he took it home and parked it (in the garage and covered) until I came along. I took it home confirmed the oil was brand new. pulled and cleaned the carbs and it fired straight away. it idles. runs good and thats where it stands on the motor (I would still change the oil before riding it). the brakes were hung up so I pulled the calipers. cleaned and soaked the pistons and they freed up. at this point I think they can be worked with as is (I haven't gone any further yet) worst case you may need a few rebuild kits (the pads are new) as stated earlier the tires were put on 8 years ago and have almost no miles (Metzlers). they may have hardened up a bit(?) but look perfect and I wouldn't hesitate to ride on them anywhere (at a reasonable pace). the wheels are about perfect and the original paint is very good. (with some polishing could be extraordinary) almost all the scratches and scrapes are in the decals (there is one small one in the paint on the tank) the photo's tell the story . the engine paint is very good with just a few small areas of flaking. one cool thing is it has period piggyback shocks with compression. rebound and pre load adjustments (I don't know the brand but the writing on the shocks is in german). I have a clear NY title in hand. the 2 things that need replacing are the headlight bucket has a broken piece in the base (there are 5 on ebay right now for less than $40) and it needs a seat cover ($25-$55) but the pan and foam are perfect (there is actually a pretty good repair on the cover right now). shipping as always is the responsibility of the buyer and anyone with less than 10 positive feedbacks MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING. as always I would encourage asking any and all questions and if possible come and inspect it yourself.
