-THIS LISTING IS FOR THE COMPLETE ENGINE WITH CARBURETOR. REEDS. KICKSTARTER. AND ELECTRONICS. - __________COMPLETE MOTOR KIT ONLY________I had the shop rebuild the engine for me on this one. and I installed a new hour meter at that time. - these big two strokes are impressive. very durable and reliable. BIG. MEAN. and SIMPLE. ~ Quotes of the day ~ "If the CR500 was a gun. It would be the 12 gauge shot gun with a slug in the chamber. ""This is a Man's bike. don't mess with it if you can't handle it. If you ride it tired. or you ride it drunk. it can kill you. " ****** This motor has only 16 HOURS since complete Top and Bottom end rebuild. *********** First 5 hours were the break in period. Which was mostly easy riding through fields and some open trails. ***** **** I run Honda HP2 full synthetic premix oil at 32:1 with premium 93 octane pump gas. **** *** I use a clean and oiled dual stage Uni-filter in the airbox. Because dirt is the enemy. *** *** And Engine Ice coolant to help keep the cylinder cool. *** ________________HERES WHATS NEW!!!__________________ ---> Hot Rods Crank shaft and Rod. Complete with Main Bearings and Seals. ---> Fresh cylinder bore in non-ported cylinder and non-modified cylinder head. ---> New . 060" over or 90. 5 mm Wiseco forged Piston kit. ---> Displacement up to 507cc from the stock 491cc---> New Boyesen pro-series Carbon Fiber Reeds on factory Reed Cage. ---> Other various seals and gaskets replaced including water pump seal. -Runs very strong. usually starts first kick. jetted well with the stock carb. Even Idles well- with NO fouled spark plugs. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ ************ CURRENTLY. THE BAD ----- HERE'S THE HONEST TRUTH ***********#1 - One of the 6 reed cage mounting tabs on the cylinder has a weld where you can see that it was repaired. The Reed cage mounts up great and there are ZERO ISSUES. It's the bottom left mounting tab in the pic before the dyno graph. * THERE ARE NO ISSUES HERE MECHANICALLY- WORKS AWESOME- PURELY COSMETIC. *#2 - The right side engine case gasket seeps a little clutch/transmission oil while running. Not the outer clutch cover. the next one in. A new paper gasket with some good sealer should fix it. Its NOT that bad. I just add a "glug" of gear saver every few rides. Thats all. if it was un-ridable I would have fixed it. - OTHER THAN THAT ITS A MEAN MACHINE. THE CLUTCH FEELS GOOD AND ALL GEARS SHIFT SMOOTH. -The weep hole oil check bolt is good with good threads. -The main drain bolt is good with good threads. -There's a case saver for the front sprocket. And NO welds or repairs to the left side. So either its never had a chain bunch up on it. or the case savers really do work- - THIS SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING - *COMPLETE ENGINE with good kick starter and shift lever. *ALL ELECTRONICS. including the hour meter. *Factory keihin 38mm CARBURETOR with throttle assembly and clutch cable. *Boyesen pro-series REEDS on the factory REED CAGE still bolted up and ready to rock. *Two 520 pitch FRONT SPROCKETS. 13t and 14t ______ FREE SHIPPING INCLUDED WITHIN THE 48 CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES______ The engine will be removed and securely packaged as soon as possible following the sale. This unit is ready to install. fill up with fluids. and run. I believe that with good oil. and a clean air filter. it will continue to run awesome for a long time.
