honda hornet 600 project bike

hi welcome to the auction on my spairs or repair Honda hornet 600 1998

first of let me start by saying the reasons ive put it as spares or repairs. the bike has had a different sett of wheels put on 17" front and rear it use to be 16" . I changed this for better handling and also had to change the disk as they were diffent sizes where they are bolted to the wheels. I also put a different front brake unit on to allow me to use the black stubby levers. so because of these changed I have not yet bled the brake systems so they need to be done. also one of the 2 front disks is bent so will need a different one of them. also you will be in the pics it has a brand new set of tyres (Michelin pilot( on it and renthal gear down kit impoving the already isance acceleration. I went up 5 teeth on the rear cog but haven't had a chance to try it out yet but im sure will be sum serious fun. these tyres and gear down kit cost me over £300 so if I don't get the right price I will remove these and sell sepratly or keep them as they will fit on my other bike. the bike does run but isn't in great condition when running . ive checked the air filer and its clean but still seems like its being starved of air and will not idle unless u take air filter out and spray easy start into the carbs so you can see it start and run but will be sold as a non-runner so will need a trailer. if sumone knows how to work with carbs it may be an easy fix but I don't fancy taking them apart. as you can see the paint work is terrible as we was testing colours with cheap Halfords paints then once we had the scheme we liked was gonna spray it proply but never got that far into the project. the bike is high milage but being a Honda is still a strong engine ( when running) I use to use it for work and would start at 6 am every morning with a bit of choke would be fine. even in cold winter mornings. the bike has been dropped on the left hand side and you can see the damage on the engine casing . crash bobbin. bar end and lever. and that all it done I rode home from the accident changed the gear lever and carried on riding it as normal for another 6 months until my insurane run out and got a new bike. also as you can see the bike has renthal bars wich I absolutely love. may not be everyones cup off tea so if there not they may be able to be swapped as I have another complete hornet in spares. everythin from frame and log book to wheels and all in pretty good condition so if any bits needed please don't hesitate to ask. /p>

bike is located in Essex not far from Dartford bridge. /p>

the bike will have a reserve only reason if because of the tyres and gear down kit are worth a bit of money and if you want to break it you will easily make you money back on it. /p>
