Honda cb550 bobber chop

Here we have a gorgeous honda cb550 bobber chop. /p>

It's a 1977 yet looks just as good as a brand new bike. it's been built to a high standard and finished off with a brand new black paint job.

It has mot till July 2015. also have v5 in hand.

I bought this bike a few months ago knowing it had a dirty carbs. so thought easy fix shouldn't be to hard. /p>

On getting the bike home and dismantling the carbs for a clean I noticed that the carbs had been vandalised the floats were stuck open with sealant. the jets are blocked up and the bowls at bottom are held together with self tapping screws! That's not dirty carbs that's vandalism.

On further analysis of bike I have also noticed that the bike doesn't hold a charge it will have full battery for 5-6 days  and run like absolute champ more power than you know what to do with but then it completely dies and battery runs flat it runs lumpy and horrible and tries to cut out. /p>

I have changed the rectifier and the regulator but didn't fix the problem. /p>

I have now ran out of time on this beautiful bike as expecting first child in matter of days so it has to go!!

The bike does work and run when the battery is charged. it isn't perfect due to the bodged carbs but I have got a set that can go there to try. I also have a stator to go with the bike if it's that that isn't working.

So in all its a gorgeous bike that has had some age issues. ut with a tiny bit if work from someone with time and passion it could yet again be the bobber of someone's dreams.

Open to sensible offers for the bike 

but don't be silly the bike is working and running just has some fine tuning to have it 100%
