Up for very reluctant auction is my Honda CBR 1000F.

I've owned this bike for the last 3 years and my wife and myself have had immense pleasure out of it. We've had many rides out with our local bike group and have enjoyed many charity rides too.

The general condition is good for a bike that's nearly 20 years old! There are obviously age related marks / wear and tear but cleans up very nicely.

The bike comes complete with loads of invoices / documentation and also has a dealer stamped service book up to 50000 miles.

It has MOT until April 2015 with no advisories. The tax has just run out.

Ok. now for the slight downside!!

I was doing an oil and filter change last weekend and ooops I believe I managed to strip the oil sump thread!!! Doh!!! So much for the torque wrench settings!! The drain plug now wont tighten up correctly!!

After much discussion with "the boss" we've decided that maybe it's a sign to change sooner for another bike for our creaky bones!!!

I was intending to keep it as well and sort it out. but sadly don't have a garage that I can use to work on it.

Because of this I'm selling the bike as SPARES OR REPAIRS.

The bike will need to be transported as it is now devoid of any oil and can't be ridden at the moment! Please make sure that you are able to do this!

A helicoil job or replacement sump pan should sort this out. A nice little winter project!

Once again I'm selling this as SPARES OR REPAIRS. and the bike will need to be transported.

I'm located near Dudley in the West Midlands.

After many similar enquiries about the bike I would like to add that it is in good condition for the year. There are a few minor marks and scuffs that are age related but not done by myself. Don't forget the bike is nearly 20 years old.

Also the bike was running fine before my mishap. I did over 100 miles on a ride out with some friends the Sunday before my "cock up".

I've uploaded another picture of the bike with us doing a charity ride about a month ago ( and yes. we are dressed as nuns!! Don't ask!! lol )

Just a reminder. you bid to buy not come and kick the tyres and haggle. It is being sold "as is" with no returns.

Thank You.
