Honda Africa Twin XRV750-M RD04 Adventure Sports

For sale is a 1991 model Honda XRV750-M Africa Twin. This is an RD04 model. judged to be of better build quality than the subsequent RDO7 and RD07a models.  I bought this bike over a year ago as a project bike but now have neither the time or the space to start and complete what I had in mind. This is an ideal bike for a project - it appears very solid and original everywhere - the engine. suspension and electrics appear to be as they should and untampered with. The only extras are a Laser exhaust and chrome crash bars. The fuel tank is in good condition with no dings and still has a good shine to it - there is only a small bit of rust on the lower right hand side edge. The rear plastic fairings are cracked. as you can see in the picture. and could do with being replaced. The front fairing is not perfect but in good condition. The engine started when I first had the bike and fired up fine. however. I have not started the engine for a number of months now. Other points worth mentioning are:- the front wheel brake caliper is sticking- seat could do with recovering- there is no MOT- there is no service historyThe mileage showing is 53. 70 (I cannot verify this) which is not a lot for these bikes. the engines are known to be very strong. I have had several Africa Twins and they are a lot of fun to ride but also to work on and I am sure this could be a really great bike with not a lot of work.
